A specialist packaging company for every product, industry and application
GWP Group consists of several distinct, specialist UK packaging companies, each focusing on a specific material or product group.
As such, your business can benefit from exceptional expertise across an extensive range of packaging products, many of which are not available from other packaging companies. And while this offers tangible benefits to a vast number of businesses just like yours, our real success as a company is attributable to the close working relationships that span all five of the GWP divisions and the extended Macfarlane Group of manufacturing companies.
Where your requirements include multiple packaging disciplines, the structure of GWP allows us to do business with you as a single entity. This approach lets you procure every aspect of your packaging from one source, reducing costs, paperwork and administration within a single contract.

Specialist packaging companies
GWP Group is made up of five distinct yet connected packaging companies, including:

Corrugated packaging manufacturers
GWP Packaging offers your business a fresh approach to corrugated cardboard packaging design. As one of the largest corrugated packaging companies in the Southwest, our focus is always on making your packaging cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
At a well-equipped design and production facility in Wiltshire, we manufacture high-quality, corrugated transit packaging for several leading industrial companies and an infinite number of applications.
So, whatever your packaging requirement—from simple corrugated cardboard boxes to highly complex composite packaging designs—we have the experience and people to help.

Protective cases and foam conversion
GWP Protective is a leading UK foam converter that designs and manufactures custom foam inserts. An extensive flight case manufacturing capability also complements our expertise in foam conversion.
Additional products include a wide range of presentation cases and several branded protective case options, including Peli™, Explorer, Nanuk, SKB, Zarges, SSI Schaefer, and many more. We offer one of the most comprehensive ranges of branded cases and inserts available from any foam converters or packaging companies in the UK today.
From a clean and modern production facility in Wiltshire, we supply primarily, but not exclusively, to the defence, aerospace, oil, medical, electronics, and automotive industries.

Correx® reusable handling and storage
GWP Correx® is the UK’s largest (by volume of material processed) independent converter of Correx® corrugated plastic material.
As a result, we can offer your company many years of experience in designing and manufacturing fully bespoke multi-trip packaging, returnable tote boxes, warehouse picking bins, internal dividers, and other Correx® boxes and packaging.
Our highly skilled, experienced, and knowledgeable team can design and manufacture corrugated plastic packaging to perfectly suit your application. So, regardless of your application, you can source everything you need from a single packaging company.

Anti-static packaging
GWP Conductive is the market leader in anti-static packaging, with over 85 per cent market share in the UK.
Unlike competing conductive packaging companies, we design and manufacture your ESD-safe and anti-static packaging in-house, including a broad mix of stock and bespoke products.
Offering your business access to industry-leading brands, including Corstat, Corriplast, and exclusive SSI Schaefer products, our approach is driven purely by your operations’ requirements. As a result, we are always prepared to explore new products, processes, and solutions to meet your specific requirements.

Specialist coatings for cardboard
GWP Coatings coats corrugated cardboard as a trade service to other packaging companies throughout the UK.
We could briefly summarise our service as “Choose a colour to match your environment or a finish to meet your application.”
Our coatings can be applied to runs as short as 200 square metres of material, can be matched to any Pantone colour, and include a range of specialist finishes providing waterproof, anti-abrasion, and corrosion-resistant properties. Such low-order volumes ensure exceptionally cost-effective solutions for short runs that would otherwise not be commercially viable.
Macfarlane Group PLC
GWP Group became part of Macfarlane Group in 2021.
Macfarlane Packaging is the largest protective packaging distributor and one of the biggest packaging companies in the UK. It also supplies customers throughout Ireland and Continental Europe.
With over 70 years of experience and serving over 17,000 businesses nationwide, Macfarlane Packaging operates through a national network of regional distribution centres – each of which has a dedicated customer service, procurement, logistics and sales team.
The Macfarlane manufacturing division – of which GWP Group is now a part – designs and manufactures bespoke industrial packaging using a broad range of materials and techniques.

Macfarlane Packaging manufacturing division
Besides GWP, other manufacturing businesses within Macfarlane Group include:

Working with GWP Group

While each packaging company within GWP is a leader in its field individually, as a group, the total adds up to much more than the sum of the parts. Our combined services, alongside Macfarlane Packaging’s geographical reach, are ideal for multi-national organisations and smaller regional businesses alike.
No matter how challenging a design brief, GWP is confident that we can offer you a protective packaging solution based on a high degree of engineering, technical excellence, industry-specific knowledge, and more than 30 years of experience.
However, if you are unsure which GWP company to speak to—or if your requirement encompasses products and/or expertise from multiple packaging companies—please do not hesitate to get in touch.
