FAQs

What are handling and storage products?

Handling and storage products encompass a wide range of boxes and containers used in manufacturing and distribution. Products include tote boxes, Euro containers, trays, and dividers for the movement and handling of parts, as well as picking bins and containers for storing and efficiently retrieving parts or products.

Can handling or storage products impact my business's productivity?

Using the correct handling and storage products can dramatically improve efficiency and productivity. For example, optimal handling totes can make it easier to move items around your production facility, improve part protection, and enhance transport efficiency.  Similarly, warehouse storage options, such as picking bins, can achieve much higher storage density and easier item retrieval, reducing fulfilment times.

Is Correx® or moulded plastic better for handling and storing items?

Your specific application determines whether you should use a Correx® or moulded plastic product. Correx® is generally more cost-effective and enables the production of products in virtually any size. This size flexibility can often improve storage and transit efficiency and provide better protection for contents. Moulded plastic totes and bins are marginally more hardwearing and durable, but are only available in specific sizes.

Can handling and storage products be manufactured in bespoke sizes?

If you opt for a Correx® bin or container, you can specify the precise dimensions you require. This size flexibility means you can accommodate awkward-sized items while fully maximising available space in your warehouse or production facility.

Is it possible to source one-off or very low-volume handling products?

Whilst it is possible to produce one-off items from Correx®, doing so can be prohibitively expensive (due to design time, tooling, machine setup costs, etc.). In this scenario, using an off-the-shelf moulded product is likely to be more cost-effective. If unsure, please get in touch with one of our experts who can advise on the most suitable option.
